Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

These gorgeous hairy dogs are all mine ( and my husbands and sons although I’m sure my relationship is deeper!!), and I’m all theirs. We share our lives with our canine companions, and treat them as loved family members should be treated…with love, kindness and lots of laughter. This year we added Molly to our family, and she is Willows puppy. This is the first time that our dogs have had pups, and it has made the whole experience of a new puppy arriving so much more rewarding and amazing than I could ever have imagined. New life in all its shapes and sizes is amazing, but its even more meaningful and precious when the new life is one of mine, one of my family 🙂

This is one of my gorgeous cats, but I would say that he views me as his, he is definitely not mine 🙂 Our relationship with our cats is so different from our dogs…the love feels more conditional and can be with held by the cats for any felt slight 🙂 I still love them…its just different…its less possessive.

  6. I think our pets are “ours” not like possessions, but like family members… a part of us and our lives! 😉
